PSV performing as drummer with room3 in Minneapolis in 2022

PSV is an artist who blends hyperpop with new wave hip-hop influences like rage, plugg, and neo drill, creating a sound that's both futuristic and nostalgic. His music features ambient, surreal, and glitchy soundscapes, paired with heavy 808s and hard-hitting drums. he uses autotune and reverbed vocals to mix melodic singing with rhythmic rapping, talking about urban life, hip-hop culture, infatuation, heartbreak, and self-reflection. His main influences are Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, A Tribe Called Quest, Snarky Puppy, Flume, Frank Ocean, SZA, and Hiatus Kaiyote.

A major milestone in his career was producing Dhanji’s standout single “What Would the Credit Department Do” from the album RUAB, which earned praise from Pitchfork, Indian Music Diary, and Rolling Stone India. Alongside producing and rapping, PSV is also a skilled drummer. He played rock, metal, and prog rock with his school band before joining the Minneapolis-based jazz trio Room3, contributing to their EP Everything as it Ought to Be in a Matter of Time.

Born and raised in Delhi-NCR, PSV's musical journey started at 9 when he picked up drums. He joined his school band at 12, began producing at 14, and discovered his passion for rapping at 19. After studying in Minnesota and working in New York, PSV fully committed to his music career while staying connected to hip-hop and street culture, with interests in graffiti and skateboarding.
